PlumbTally

Overview

PlumbTally is a job-tracking tool for plumbers and tradespeople. We collect only the data necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

This policy applies to the PlumbTally mobile app (Android).

Data we collect

• Account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and avatar URL. Stored on Supabase servers.
• Business profile: company name, phone number, address, VAT number, and bank account details (IBAN, SWIFT, account number) — entered by you, optional, used only to populate PDF receipts. Stored locally on your device only (not uploaded to our servers).
• Projects & jobs: project names, line items, quantities, prices, and payment records you create. Stored locally on your device only.
• Subscription status: trial start date and subscription tier. Stored on Supabase servers.
• Translation requests: item description text sent to our translation service when you use the auto-translate feature. Processed transiently, not stored.

Data we do not collect

• PDF files — generated on-device and never uploaded to our servers.
• Payment card details — no payment provider is integrated.
• Location data.
• Device contacts or camera.
• Analytics or crash telemetry beyond what Supabase logs by default.

How we use your data

• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To store your projects, line items, and payments on your device (data does not leave the device unless you explicitly export a backup).
• To translate item descriptions into other languages (text is sent transiently to OpenAI via our Supabase edge function and is not stored by us or OpenAI).
• To manage your subscription and trial period.

Third-party services

• Supabase — database, authentication, and edge functions. Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt). Privacy policy.
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication provider. Privacy policy.
• OpenAI — used only for item translation. Text is processed transiently and not stored by us. Privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosts this privacy policy and the account deletion page (static HTML only; no user data is processed by Vercel). Privacy policy.

Data retention

Account and subscription data on our servers is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all server-side data is deleted immediately and permanently — including your account credentials and subscription records.

Projects, items, payments, and your business profile are stored locally on your device and are not held on our servers. Deleting the app removes this data from your device. Use the built-in backup export (Profile → Export backup) to save a copy before uninstalling.

Your rights

• Access: all your data is visible inside the app.
• Deletion: delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete account, or by emailing us. See the account deletion page.
• Export: export all your projects, items, payments, and profile at any time via Profile → Export backup (JSON file saved to your device). No need to contact us.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to your data is protected by Supabase Row-Level Security — only you can read or modify your records. The service role key is never exposed to the client.

Children

PlumbTally is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
